Project Unloaded says you might be a ‘goofy’ if you’re into guns
Project Unloaded, a gun violence prevention group focused on peer-led social media campaigns, unveiled “Goofies Got Guns,” a teen-created campaign developed with Havas Chicago. Built on Chicago slang—a “goofy” is someone who’s gullible and easily influenced—the work targets young audiences with content designed to feel native to their social feeds. The campaign will reach more than 160,000 teens on Snapchat over six weeks. Grounded in a public health approach, the effort aims to shift attitudes around gun ownership through relatable, youth-driven storytelling.
