Re “The Tragic Link Between Pregnancy and Homicide,” by Sara Chodosh (Opinion, Dec. 15):
Americans have been sold a myth about guns: that people are safer armed.
Many have bought into this myth, but the normalization of firearms has come at a steep price. This month, in DeKalb County, Ga., a man gunned down his girlfriend, her daughter and two young grandchildren. This tragedy — like the story that Ms. Chodosh recounts — is a harsh reminder of the fact that guns make us less safe.
